Visabeira acquired Gatel and plans to double its turnover in France

Visabeira Global is also present in France with Constructel, a company from the ??telecommunication networks field that plans to double its turnover next year to 25 million Euros.

José Arimateia mentioned that Constructel "has just been awarded several contracts by its main partner, France Telecom." These new contracts "are an important indicator of the degree of confidence the French telecommunications "giant" has in Constructel."

Therefore, the forecast is that Constructel’s annual turnover "might climb to about EUR 25 million next year, i.e. twice the figure recorded in 2008."

Visabeira Global is also planning the construction of Constructel’s headquarters in France, a project worth about 1 million Euros.

The Visabeira Group has also reorganised its business areas, and concentrated in the sub-holding Visabeira Telecomunicações e Construção SGPS, SA the companies that were already part of it, plus others that are quite complementary.

About a week ago, the latter’s name was amended to Global Visabeira SGPS, SA, in order to "better reflect its positioning, simultaneously guided by a comprehensive service offering, and by a strong multinational presence."

Visabeira Global SGPS, SA was established in order to concentrate, under the same coordination, all the business in the telecommunications, energy, technology, and construction sectors.

According to José Arimateia, the purpose of this amendment was "to gain significant synergies from the complementarity of skills, know-how and service portfolio, by creating added dynamics, by providing integrated tailored solutions to the specific needs of customers and partners."
