Yesterday, Visabeira announced the acquisition of French company Gatel, active in the field of industrial electrical networks and power grids, in road and railway tunnels.

Constructel, a Visabeira Group company, will provide integrated solutions to France Telecom under a contract worth over 100 million euros, the company mentioned last Tuesday.

Constructel will rebuild the French southwest telephone network, hit by a cyclone that affected more than 400,000 customers.

"Today, Mr Paulo Varela, Chairman of Visabeira Global, will meet with the management board of France Telecom in Paris, to sign several contracts with this French telecommunications giant, worth over EUR 100 million, valid for the next three years," adds the statement.
